What Nearra never does
- Ship, post or deliver anything physical. There is no physical component.
- Process payments between neighbours, or hold anyone's money.
- Take a commission, booking fee or cut of work arranged through the app.
Nearra is a directory. People list what they do, neighbours find them and get in touch, and the two of them arrange everything else directly between themselves — including payment, on whatever terms they agree. Nearra is not a party to that arrangement and earns nothing from it. Our only revenue is the subscription above.
The boring but important bits
- What currency am I charged in?
- South African rand. Prices shown in another currency are estimates at today's rate, for convenience — the charge itself is in rand. Prices include VAT where it applies, and your card statement will say Paddle, who process payments for Nearra.
- Can I cancel?
- Any time, in Settings. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for — we never cut it short.
- Do I get a refund?
- Within 14 days of your first payment, yes — no questions. Full refund policy.
- Is anything posted to me?
- No. Pro is entirely digital — it switches on inside your Nearra account and there is nothing physical to ship, collect or return.
- Does Nearra take a cut of my work?
- Never. Neighbours pay each other directly, off Nearra, on whatever terms they agree. We don't process that payment, hold it, or charge a fee on it — the subscription on this page is the only money Nearra makes.
- How do I get the student price?
- Verify with your campus email address on your university's Nearra board. It's free, takes a minute, and gets you the badge too.
