Plain-language terms. You must agree to these Community Rules before creating an account or logging in.

01

What Nearra is.

Nearra helps you discover the skills of people nearby and reach out to them. We connect neighbours — we are not a party to, and don't guarantee, any work, payment, or arrangement you make with someone you find here.

02

Who may use Nearra.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Nearra. If you are below the age at which you can agree to these terms on your own where you live, use Nearra only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. Keep your sign-in details private and tell us if you think somebody else has used your account.

03

Your account & profile.

Browsing is free and needs no account. To list a skill, message someone, save people, or reveal a contact, you create a free account. Keep your profile honest and up to date, and only list skills you can actually provide. You can edit or remove your profile anytime.

04

Your content and permission to display it.

You keep ownership of the profiles, listings, posts, reviews, messages, photographs and other content you create. You give NEARRA (Pty) Ltd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and distribute that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve and promote Nearra. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for copies reasonably retained in backups, safety records or where the law requires. You promise that you own the content or have permission to use it and to grant this licence.

05

What may not be listed or posted.

Don't post illegal, stolen, counterfeit, fraudulent, hateful, threatening, sexually exploitative or misleading content. Nearra also prohibits offers involving firearms, ammunition or other weapons; controlled drugs; tobacco or vaping products; alcohol sales; sexual services; human trafficking; unsafe or recalled products; and anything else that is illegal where it is offered or received. Don't harass people, impersonate others, spam, scrape the service, or misuse contact details you unlock.

06

Filtering, reporting & blocking.

Nearra uses automated text and image checks to stop content that appears to break these rules before it is published. You can report a person or a specific listing, post, review, or message from its ⋯ menu, and you can block an abusive user from the same menu. Blocking removes that user and their content from your experience immediately and alerts Nearra for review. We review reports within 24 hours and, where a violation is confirmed, remove the content and may suspend or permanently eject the responsible user.

07

Messaging, contact & meeting safely.

Messages you send on Nearra are delivered to the other person and may notify them. Treat revealed contact details as private to your conversation — don't republish or resell them. For a first in-person task, meet in a public place, agree the scope and price up front, tell someone you trust where you are going, and trust your instincts.

08

Paid Nearra features.

Where offered, Nearra Pro and listing boosts are digital software features applied to your Nearra account. Paystack processes eligible web payments; Nearra does not receive your full card details. The terms shown at checkout and our refund policy also apply. We do not process payments between users, hold anyone's money, or take a commission, booking fee or cut of work arranged through Nearra. Browsing, listing and messaging remain free.

09

Arrangements are between users.

Nearra is a directory and communication service, not an employer, agent, contractor, insurer or party to arrangements between users. Check qualifications where they matter, agree terms directly, and comply with applicable laws. We do not guarantee a user, skill, listing, price, outcome or availability.

10

Enforcement and account removal.

We may restrict, remove or preserve content, limit features, suspend an account, or cooperate with lawful authorities when reasonably necessary to enforce these rules, protect people or the service, investigate fraud or abuse, or comply with law. You can delete your account from Settings.

11

Nearra's service and brand.

Nearra's software, name, logo and original design belong to NEARRA (Pty) Ltd or its licensors. These terms do not give you permission to copy the service, reverse engineer it, use our brand as your own, or interfere with its security or operation.

12

Warranty and liability.

Nearra is provided “as is” and may sometimes be unavailable or change. To the extent the law allows, NEARRA (Pty) Ltd is not liable for user conduct, content, transactions or the outcome of arrangements made through the service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

13

Changes and contact.

We may update these terms as Nearra grows and will show the current version and effective date here. Material changes may require you to agree again. Questions can be sent to hello@nearra.app. These terms are governed by South African law, subject to any mandatory rights that apply where you live.
